New ADHB electronic referral service available for GPs to trial

Medtech are pleased to announce the release of an electronic Referral form for Auckland District Health Board in Version 18. The referral form will allow GPs in the Auckland area to submit electronic referrals via Healthlink to the Auckland Referrals Office.

 

Benefits of the electronic referral form include:

  • A standardised format which is easy to use
  • Self population to reduce data entry
  • Electronically sent referrals via Healthlink to the referrals office
  • No need to print and fax - savings on time and cost
  • Scanned documents are easily attached
  • Higher quality referrals which increase patient safety and are easier to triage, and improve clinic efficiency
  • Accessible at the click of an icon

What’s happening with the Version 18 release…

Medtech32’s Version 18 is now on general release to all current Medtech practices. A staggered release will be implemented for Version 18, with the first practices already starting to receive CDs from late March.

 

Release notes are currently available on our website detailing all the changes and enhancements that you can expect to see in Medtech32 after installation. All additional documentation relating to the upgrade and Version 18 Practice Notifications can also be located on the website alongside the release notes. Read More...

New Medtech clinical reference group

Medtech has recently established a new independent advisory/clinical reference group (MAG) to facilitate a collaborative and solution-oriented approach for its software programmes and developments. The group will advise on key issues in primary health care, guide development and implementation, as well as advise on continuous quality improvement. One of its objectives is to consider the needs of healthcare communities through the strategic plans of General Practice, DHBs and national funders. Read More...

Joining the Medtech team

Medtech is pleased to announce the appointment of three new staff to the group. Geniene Rabie has been appointed as Customer Services Manager, effective 30th March 2009. Tony Yang has been appointed as the Network Support Engineer where he is responsible for IT infrastructure, disaster recovery and technical support among other things. Lynne Melhuish has joined Medtech as Executive Assistant to Vino Ramayah. Read More...

ManageMyHealth™ introduced at the RNZCGP Conference in Wellington

Interest continues to grow for ManageMyHealth™ - “the Secure Online Health Solution that extends the capabilities of a Practice Management System, out into the online world”.

 

In February Medtech launched ManageMyHealth at The Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners Conference in Wellington. Sanjeewa Samaraweera (Medtech Chief Operating Officer) introduced the portal to the conference and over the two days, Murray Stott and Dr Stuart Ekdahl presented the live system in the breakout area of the conference (close to the food!!). To address this Medtech encourages its customers to book for advanced training. We offer a range of training options including customised modules to meet our customers’ needs. Update on Medtech Evolution

Medtech Evolution has hit a major milestone with the Beta release into a large multi-practice environment. The site will be utilizing the capability of Medtech Evolution deployed over a WAN environment without the need for Citrix or Terminal Services. Customer service

Medtech values its customers and is revitalizing its existing service. As a part of this, Geniene Rabie has been appointed as new Customer Services Manager. Geniene has worked in several areas of the health sector. Her previous roles included Delphic Sysmex and Intrahealth.

 

Medtech is currently reviewing its existing helpdesk/training in order to better serve our customers. We value any suggestions or contributions you may have on ways that our customer service centre can be improved.
